The “Lync 2 The Championship” is a nationwide tour of events that will be promoted and achieved by utilizing multiple channels. Athletes and celebrity influences will raise awareness to each event and the issues in which each event is supporting, primarily bullying prevention, via social media and other resources to help catapult these issues to the forefront. This initiative will be supported by other sponsored events such as celebrity basketball games, concerts, and other related events taking place in select cities. There are also proposed major events that will coincide with national sports and entertainment event such as the NFL’s Super Bowl, the MLB’s All-Star game, The NCAA Final Four, and more. With Linval Joseph, all pro tackle and Super Bowl Champion as the official spokesperson, Lync 2 The Championship is a collaborative endeavor consisting of multiple organizations and high profile individuals coming together in order to bring this initiative to life.
Each event will consist of a celebrity basketball game and “Passion for Fashion” show. Events will be hosted at local high school gymnasiums. The youth will get to meet their favorite athlete while being educated how to become more involved with community-related events and programs. Youth and their parents will attend the events and will be educated by their favorite athlete the effects of bullying and how to prevent it.
At each event, the youth will be able to participate with their favorite athlete in games and smaller activities that will occur during the event.
Our goal is to help raise awareness to the bullying prevention initiative and raise funds that will be put back into the community via donations to local programs and funding future events that will raise awareness in the community. Our goal is to raise $250,000 at each event. Ticket raffles and memorabilia sales, along with donations will help us to achieve our goal.
